February 3rd, 2009 - Miami, Florida
February 10th, 2009 - Phoenix, Arizona

This annual event - now hosted in locations in the East and West - provides audit committee members with an opportunity to spend a full day discussing common challenges related to financial reporting oversight and considering issues that likely will shape their agendas in the year ahead.

Who Attends the Issues Conference?
The invitation-only conference is designed exclusively for audit committee members. It attracts directors from around the country who serve on (or chair) the audit committees of companies in every major industry.

Candid, Panel-Driven Discussion
The conference facilitates open discussion—driven largely by a panel of seasoned audit committee members, CFOs, auditors, and attorneys—of the near- and long-term challenges facing audit committees and their members in carrying out their oversight responsibilities. Past discussion topics have included:

  • Agenda-setting and issue prioritization
  • Critical accounting judgments and estimates
  • Risk management
  • Internal controls
  • Communications and relationships with management, auditors, and others
  • Internal investigations
  • Legal developments

Using on-site survey technology, we poll participants on key issues and share real-time results of prevailing views and practices.

Panelists
Our carefully selected panels comprise seasoned audit committee members (and chairs), C-level executives, auditors, and attorneys—all with in-depth knowledge of financial reporting and corporate governance issues.

Sponsors
KPMG’s Audit Committee Institute (ACI) co-hosts this conference with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, and the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
